- Personal Statement
Dr L. O. Osoba is a faculty member with the University of Lagos and twenty-seven (27) years cumulative experience in foundry practice, research, and academia. He has demonstrated specialized knowledge in engineering research involving joining of materials and characterization of joint properties, aside from standard organization of Nigeria (SON) certified skills in quality management, production planning and process control. A team leads in the development of new course modules in materials science and engineering for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Taught and examined several courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise and co-supervised several graduate research works leading to the award of higher degrees, including over 52 Final-Year Undergraduate students and 16 Postgraduate students (MSc). Successfully co-graduated 2 PhD candidates. Authorship productivity, citations, research impacts and scientific reputation according to Scopus is h-index 10, ResearchGate h-index 13 and Google Scholar h-index 15, respectively as of March, 2025.
