A.           Personal Statement

I am a senior researcher in highway and traffic engineering or transportation engineering. Specifically, I am exploring the suitability and quantity of waste (agricultural and industrial) materials in road pavement design and construction. My recent investigations encompass lateritic soil, asphalt and concrete evaluation. I have also evaluated the possibility of using non-motorized transportation and to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation industry. I have evaluated the accident rates on Nigeria’s most important highway and investigated the ease of assessing a remote area in Nigeria with reference to the origin and destination, and time and distance for the journeys.

• Deputy Global President, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association (Worldwide) – November 2023 till date.
• Representative of the Faculty of Engineering to the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria between August 2023 and July 2024.
• Attended the COREN Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Regional Train-the Trainers’ Workshop for University Based Implementors Organized by Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) held at the Balogun Shubomi International Conference Centre, University of Lagos between January 31, 2022 to February 3, 2022.
