Welcome

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established to provide needed skilled manpower for Nigerian engineering companies due to the geographical location of the University within the industrial hub and economic capital of Nigeria. The Mechanical Engineering programme aims to provide students with solid foundation for preparation of diverse careers in industry and government or for advanced work in engineering, business, law, or medicine. The programmes run in the department enables the acquisition of a broad range of skills and aptitudes drawn from the humanities, social sciences, and sciences which enhance engineering knowledge and contribute to future leadership and technical success.
