Personal Statement
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Lagos, specializing in wireless communication systems with a focus on spectrum-efficient techniques and wireless communication sensors. My Ph.D. research on exploiting television white spaces for wireless mobile communication gained both national and international recognition and laid the groundwork for my current interests in Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, network optimization using game theory and Markov chains, and physical computing. In 2014, I received the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) fellowship and completed my postdoctoral studies at Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany. This opportunity deepened my expertise and broadened my international research collaborations. I am an innovation enthusiast, deeply committed to supporting the translation of research into practical innovations that can positively impact our society. This passion drives my engagement with projects that bridge academic work and real-world applications. I have authored several peer-reviewed publications, presented at various conferences, and serve as a reviewer for technical journals. I have also managed two international research grants. As a Registered Member of COREN and a Corporate Member of the NSE, I remain active in professional circles, championing innovation and capacity-building in engineering education and wireless communication.
